Missouri suffered a Big 12 conference series whitewash after losing the final game of the series with Baylor 12-7 on Saturday. The Tigers were on top for much of the game but four runs for Baylor in the both the sixth and seventh innings turned a four run lead into a four run deficit. The Bears closed it out from there in a rain delayed game that was shortened to eight innings due to the NCAA travel curfew.

The Tigers had struggled to earn runs with runners on base in the first two games of the series but it was the Missouri pitchers that failed to deliver in the final game. Jeff Emens, John Miles, Jake Walsh and Brett Graves all struggled on the mound.

The series loss leaves Missouri 3-6 in the Big 12 this season and 16-14 overall. A trip to Oklahoma (4-7) next weekend may provide a more manageable challenge for the Tigers. First up though is a non-conference game against Arkansas-Little Rock at Taylor Stadium on Tuesday, April 10, at 4 p.m.
