Pinkel addresses ‘bumps and bruises’ and how personalities play a role in diagnosing injuries

As he usually does, Missouri coach Gary Pinkel opened his weekly news conference on Monday with an injury report about the health of his team. And though most of the Tigers are as healthy as can be expected, Pinkel said that eight games into the season, “bumps and bruises” are starting to accumulate:

Pinkel was asked later about linebacker Will Ebner, who has been playing through a broken bone in his foot for a majority of the season. A reporter asked whether or not some players, especially “tough guys” like Ebner, do everything they can to mask their injuries from the coaches and staff.
