Missouri beats Arkansas to clinch second straight SEC East title

Many experts didn’t believe Missouri could compete with the SEC in football. That seems silly now, after Missouri (10-2, 7-1) finished a drive late in the fourth quarter to take a 21-14 lead against Arkansas (6-6, 2-6).

Unproven Mizzou still confident in SEC football

HOOVER, Ala. — Missouri made a surprising run to the top of the Southeastern Conference’s Eastern Division in just its second year in the league.

Staying on top might be even more of a challenge.

The Tigers lost a huge chunk of their team after finishing 12-2 last season, including 7-1 in the SEC. Only nine starters return, including just four on offense.
