Strong second half gives Missouri it’s first victory, 56-41 over Valparaiso

Missouri focused on defense as they defeated Valparaiso for their first win of the
season on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014. After a tight first half, the Tigers were able to
break ahead in the second half, holding Valparaiso to 18 points in the half. Wes Clark
provided the offensive spark for the Tigers, scoring 16 points. Clark also grabbed six
rebounds and two steals. Johnathan Williams III had six rebounds of his own to go
along with 10 points. Missouri dominated the boards in the matchup, outrebounding
Valparaiso 37-28. After a poor first half shooting, the Tigers shot 53.8 percent from
the field in the second half to earn the victory.
