Four members of the Missouri soccer team received end of the year awards from the Southeastern Conference, following the Tigers’ fourth place finish in the regular season.

Midfielder Kaysie Clark was named first-team All-SEC for the second consecutive season. The award is just another to the list of accolades for the Liberty, Missouri, native. Clark was also named to the Big 12 Conference All-Newcomer team during her freshman year in 2011. She tallied a team-leading 16 points in her final season as a Tiger, scoring three goals and accounting for 10 assists.

Missouri had two representatives to the conference second-team. Junior midfielder Reagan Russell and junior defender Candace Johnson received all-conference awards for the first time in their collegiate careers. Russell scored six goals, while Johnson anchored a defense that held opponents scoreless seven times this season.

The final Tiger to be recognized for her achievements was Kaitlyn Clark, the younger sister of Kaysie Clark. She was named to the SEC’s all-freshman team and was also awarded conference Freshman of the Week once this season. Clark managed two goals and four assists in her first collegiate season.

Texas A&M senior midfielder Shea Groom, a former teammate of the Clark sisters out of Liberty High School, was recognized as the SEC Offensive Player of the Year. The Aggies were well represented with seven players on the SEC first and second teams.

Texas A&M head coach G Guerrieri was named Coach of the Year after leading his team to a first-place finish.

The SEC tournament kicks off tomorrow evening from Orange Beach, Alabama. Missouri takes on South Carolina Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
