For the second time this season, the Southeastern Conference has awarded a Missouri player its Freshman of the Week honor.
Forward Allie Hess from Kearney, Mo., scored Missouri’s equalizing goal in Friday’s victory over Kentucky and assisted both goals in Sunday’s win against Vanderbilt. The goal was the first of her collegiate career.
Just two weeks ago, Kaitlyn Clark was given the weekly award.
Hess and Clark join senior Taylor Grant (Offensive Player of the Week) as Tigers who have been recognized as weekly award winners. Missouri (9-2-2, 4-1-0 SEC) will hit the road Friday to face Auburn at 7 p.m.
A pair of teammates received the other weekly conference awards. Florida’s forward Savannah Jordan (Offensive Player of the Week) and defender Tessa Andujar (Defensive Player of the Week) helped the Gators earn victories over the weekend against Texas A&M and Arkansas. Florida (10-2-0, 5-0-0 SEC) is the only remaining team in the conference with a perfect SEC record.
