The Missouri Tigers defeated the Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks 1-0 Sunday afternoon at Walton Stadium behind a Reagan Russell goal in the 55th minute and McKenzie Sauerwein’s 18th career shutout. The Tigers eventually broke through after a scoreless first half, courtesy of a well-placed ball in the box from Kaysie Clark with Russell there to finish. Missouri out shot the Skyhawks 15-10 and put nine on goal.

Sauerwein, a fifth-year senior, broke the school record for career shutouts with three saves on the day. Russell, a junior, scored her second goal of the season and led the Tigers with five shots. Missouri returns to action Friday at 6:30 p.m. when it hosts Montana.
