The Missouri Tigers beat the University of Illinois Fighting Illini 5-2 on Wednesday night at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Mo. The Tigers were lead by Dylan Kelly and Josh Lester, as both finished 2-for-4 on the night and three RBI between them. Peter Fairbanks pitched a career-best eight innings, holding the Fighting Illini to only two runs on four hits with three strikeouts. Missouri will head to Gainesville, Fla., on Friday for a weekend series against the No. 8 Florida Gators.
