The Murray State Racers come to Columbia on Saturday to face the Tigers in the season opening football game for both teams. KBIA Sports columnist Darren Hellwege talks with coach Chris Hatcher, who says he is looking forward to testing out their defense, under new defensive coordinator Dennis Therrell. The Racers, 5-6 overall in 2012, are lead by quarterback Maikhail Miller, whose main target is wide receiver Walter Powell. Powell is a graduate of Hazelwood East in St. Louis.
