Missouri senior Taiwo Adeshigbin has been named to the Southeastern Conference soccer Community Service Team. The conference names athletes from all 21 sports to the Community Service Team, including one representative from each school to make up the team representing soccer.
The Community Service Team highlights athletes who give back to the community in service efforts. The soccer team was announced Tuesday. It is the ninth year for the team.
Adeshigbin, a forward from Lawrenceville, Ga., was named for her work with the Central Missouri Food Bank, with Adapted Gymnastics, and the league’s satellite Star Light Reading program. She also was a part of the team’s effort to raise money for True North women’s shelter. Adeshigbin is studying to be a physical therapist and is an honor roll student.
