The voters also have high expectations for the Tiger’s first season in the SEC, picking them to finish third behind Florida and reigning national champion Kentucky to win the 2013 Southeastern Conference men’s basketball championship.

Kentucky received 17 of 24 first place votes despite losing six players to the NBA draft. Florida garnered five first place votes while Missouri and Tennessee each received one.

Pressey’s turned some heads during the offseason after a stellar sophomore season where he averaged career highs in scoring (10.3), rebounding (3.3), assists (6.4) and steals (2.1).  CBS Sports selected Pressey as a First Team All-American earlier this month and was invited to the Chris Paul, Deron Williams and Lebron James elite camps over the summer.
