Missouri Softball splits doubleheader

The Missouri softball team split a pair of fall exhibition games on Friday afternoon.

The Tigers took care of Butler County Community College 8-1, before losing 4-2 to Jefferson College.

Senior Nicole Hudson earned the win over Butler County Community College, allowing five hits over five innings of work while sophomore Kelsea Roth hit a pair of home runs to lead the Tigers to victory.

In the second game, Jefferson College pitcher Chelsea Smith contained the Missouri offense to three hits and two runs through seven innings. Missouri senior Lindsey Muller threw six innings and allowed just two runs. However, the two unearned runs that Jefferson College scored proved to be the difference.

Missouri returns to action Friday, October 5 at 3:30 p.m. when they play another double -header against Crowder and Heartland at University Field.
