Mizzou soccer team 5-0 after win over Tennessee Tech

Jessica Greer and Taiwo Adeshigbin scored In Sunday’s game, giving Missouri a 2-0 win over Tennessee Tech at Walton Stadium. The win improves No. 10 Missouri to 5-0 on the season. This game marks the first time since 2006 that Missouri opened the year with five consecutive wins.

The Tigers dominated the game with 34 shots, while Tennessee Tech’s shot total was only two. While Missouri’s offense proved strong throughout the game, it wasn’t until the 30th minute that Greer made the first goal of the game — her first goal of the season.

Adeshigbin leads the Tigers with four goals this season.

The Golden Eagles had no shots on goal, resulting in no save attempts for Tiger goalie McKenzie Sauerwein.

Missouri has a string of away games coming up next. The Tigers travel to Ohio State on Thursday for a 6 p.m. game, at Auburn on Sept. 14 and at South Carolina on Sept. 16. They return home for a game on Friday, Sept. 21 against Ole Miss at 6:30 p.m.
