Missouri quarterback Corbin Berkstresser was arrested Tuesday morning for leaving the scene of an accident.

According to police reports, Berkstresser hit a parked car in the 2900 block of Lynnwood Drive, damaging both cars but causing no injuries. Berkstresser was arrested by Columbia police about 3:15 a.m. He was released after making the $4,500 bail.

Leaving the scene of an accident is a misdemeanor but because the damage estimate is more than $1,00o, it is considered a felony.

Berkstresser, a red shirt freshman, is listed on the team’s spring depth chart as the No. 2 quarterback but moved up to the No. 1 quarterback position after starter James Franklin suffered a shoulder injury. Franklin is expected to return to the starting position in the fall.
