FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Missouri Tigers managed just four hits and Arkansas pitchers pitched a four-hit shutout to lead the Razorbacks to a 2-0 victory over Missouri.

Wednesday’s game remained scoreless until the sixth inning, when Matt Reynolds hit a two-run double down the left field line for the Razorbacks. The Tigers (23-21) managed to get runners on base in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings but couldn’t score.
Missouri’s four hits came from Andreas Plackis, Jake Ivory Conner Mach and Dillion Everett.
Jake Walsh (2-3) took the loss, allowing one hit and two runs in 1 1-3 innings of relief for Missouri.
The Tigers start a three-game series with Texas on Friday with a 6 p.m. game. In celebration of Reading Day for students, there will be a tailgate party prior to the game. Missouri basketball player Steve Moore is scheduled to throw out the first pitch. Game Two of the series is Saturday at 1 p.m. and the final game on Sunday, also at 1 p.m.
