First session results from NCAA wrestling tournament in St. Louis

No. 6 Brent Haynes holds Maxwell Huntley to the mat for a near fall and an ultimate 5-0 decision to win their round two 197 pound NCAA tournament match on Thursday, March 15, 2012 in St. Louis, Mo.

Alan Waters, Dorian Henderson and Brent Haynes advance in their brackets. Waters had a 15-0 tech fall over Pat Rollins from Oregon State. Henderson won with a 4-0 decision over Kyle Czarnecki from Boston University. Haynes had a 5-0 decision over Michigan wrestler Maxwell Huntley.

Nathan McCormick, Nicholas Hucke, Kyle Bradley, Drake Houdashelt, Zach Toal, Mike Larson and Devon Mellon are still in the consolation bracket for a chance to wrestle back for the chance to place as high as third.
